Multiple lanes close on I-84 east and west during daytime hours
WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) – All drivers should take alternate routes due to I-84 east and west closing during daytime hours on two upcoming weekends beginning Friday Oct. 27.
According to the team with the Mixmaster Rehab Project, I-84 east and west will be closed on the following dates:
- Friday Oct. 27
- Saturday Oct. 28
- Sunday, Oct. 29
- Friday Nov. 10
- Saturday Nov. 11
- Sunday Nov. 12
The project team will be placing waterproofing membrane on the rehabilitated bridge decks in preparation for paving.
This needs to be completed during the daytime hours due to temperature and dew point restrictions needed for the membrane to adhere correctly.
Lane closures will start at 10:00 PM on Friday and continue throughout the weekend until 6:00 AM Monday.
The CT Department of Transportation is also letting all drivers know to avoid the area to preclude any traffic delays.
