Part wine bar, part lounge, part restaurant and part deli, WineArt has an stylish, sleek ambience with dark wood floors, luminous chandeliers and artful décor. With over 600 wines, it’s sure to satisfy. Not to mention you can pair their wide selection with delicious yet simple Mediterranean food such as buffalo mozzarella, rocket salad, corn-fed chicken or honey-glazed vegetables.

La Terrasse

Acclaimed by the Michelin Guide as brimming with ‘crystal lighting and elegant marble floors,’ La Terrasse serves up exquisite French and international cuisine that will have you questioning if you’re really in Interlaken. Try Chef Lukas Stalder’s innovative dishes such as roasted scallops with lemon verbena kefir seasoned with cherries and liquiroice salt. The restaurant features live piano music, unique taste combinations and an indulgent atmosphere. Definitely on the fancier and pricier side, come dressed in your best and enjoy all the luxuries La Terrase has to offer inside the beautiful Grand Victoria Jung-Frau Hotel. If you happen to visit on a warm day, dine outside on the stunning restaurant terrace under the Alps and the stars overlooking the beautiful park (and paragliding landing site!).

Little Thai

Wander into this authentic family owned hole-in-the-wall, and sip on your choice of a large selection of craft beers as you observe the family cook your delicious freshly prepared food. Especially for those in need of mixing up the classic Swiss faire and cuisine, Little Thai is a welcome change. Be sure to try the fresh spring roll, spicy papaya salad, flavorful pad Thai or out-of-this-world curries; but be careful, you are definitely in store for some spice. Don’t worry though, you can wash it down with the citrusy Japanese Pale Lager Uelus Homebrew Aurora, the German-style Lager Locher Quöllfrisch, or the malty American pale ale Hitachino Nest Nipponia. Good service, great food, reasonable prices and a homey feel are all things you can expect from Interlaken’s best-kept culinary secret.

Goldener Anker

For cozy vibes with sunflower adorned tables, dim lighting, and wonderful service, go to the Goldener Anker and enjoy an amazing Swiss meal (with everything from Barolo wine to classic fondue) that you would swear was home cooked. If your palate is craving some adventure to mirror the plethora of outdoor activities, the international options like sizzling fajitas, red snapper, or ostrich steaks are sure to please. The Ankler is also a great choice if you’re in the mood for some live music too.

Top o’ Met

Sit at the top of the Metropole hotel for a cocktail, coffee or pastry of your choice and take in the incredible panoramic views. Informal and well priced, this restaurant has an exceedingly welcoming feel to it. The owner will pop by your table whilst you enjoy homemade noodles, steaming soups, delicious ice cream desserts, or the special 3 course meal of the day if that’s more your style.

Belvédere Brasserie

This Swiss restaurant is situated on Main Street. Called upbeat and modern, Belvédere Brassierie offers great views of Jungfrau from the terrace, as you gorge yourself on veal in merlot sauce or swiss classics like fondue and rösti (tip: try the Berner Rösti). Attached to Hapimag, the Brasserie offers a wide range of dishes and live performances depending on the night.

Husi Bierhaus

This lively and trendy brew-bar-restaurant in the heart of the Alps provides great food and tons of drink choices. Its most popular dishes include onion rings, macaroni and cheese and the knock-your-socks-off chicken sandwich, not to mention a killer beer tower perfect to enjoy a summer evening in the outdoor space. Known for it’s wide variety of beer selections (including some local flavors like the 2 Jocks Amber), Husi Bierhaus has a laid back ambiance and great English-speaking servers. Be sure to check out its craft beer and cider shop.

Restaurant the Verandah

Excellently rated and beautifully designed, The Verandah boasts great food and service. While it offers typical Swiss food, it’s famous for its crêpes and delectable desserts. The fruit appetizer in three forms is also sure to impress in its artful presentation. Located in the Hotel Royal St. Georges it expertly blends traditional Swiss flavors and contemporary cuisine such as the famous fondue served with warm French baguettes and flavorful local wines.

The 3 Irish Tells

For a little Irish culture, a tasty meal and some exciting live music, head over to the 3 Irish Tells. With friendly staff, a laid-back atmosphere and rustic décor, this is a great spot to grab a beer and some delicious sticky toffee pudding or the classic fish and chips. If you happen to stay until close, don’t miss the old bell toll at closing.

Pizzeria Horn

Sit with a piping hot slice of deliciously cheesy pizza or your choice of traditional Italian food on the porch overlooking a lovely garden. A local spot, Pizza Horn sits tucked away off the main streets. This classic pizza and Italian joint will quench your pizza craving and offers a great view.
